Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer

Last updated: 5th November 2025

1. Purpose of Coaching

Coaching is a collaborative and reflective process designed to support clients in achieving their personal and professional goals. Through conversation, inquiry, and evidence-based techniques, coaching aims to enhance self-awareness, performance, and wellbeing.

Coaching is not advice, counselling, therapy, or psychological treatment. The role of the coach is to facilitate learning, insight, and growth – not to diagnose, treat, or advise on medical, psychological, or financial matters.

2. Professional Boundaries

  • Coaching is distinct from psychotherapy, counselling, or any form of mental health intervention.

  • If at any point issues arise that fall outside the scope of coaching (for example, mental health concerns or trauma), the coach may recommend that the client seek support from a qualified health professional.

  • Coaching does not replace, and should not be used as a substitute for, professional mental health care.

3. Client Responsibility

The client acknowledges that:

  • Coaching is a process of self-directed learning and growth.

  • Any decisions, actions, or outcomes resulting from coaching are the sole responsibility of the client.

  • The coach cannot guarantee specific results or outcomes, as progress depends on the client’s engagement, reflection, and actions between sessions.

4. Confidentiality

All coaching sessions are treated as confidential. Information shared will not be disclosed to third parties without the client’s written consent, except where required by law or where there is concern for the client’s or another person’s safety.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The coach accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage resulting from coaching services or reliance on coaching discussions or materials.

  • The client agrees to hold the coach harmless against any and all claims arising from actions taken (or not taken) as a result of coaching.

The coaching process is provided in good faith as a professional development service, not as expert advice or a guarantee of performance.

6. Fees, Scheduling, and Cancellation

  • Session fees and schedules will be agreed in advance.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a full session fee.

  • Reschedules are not permitted with less than 48 hours' notice and the session will be forfeited.

  • Coaching packages have individual refund and expiry policies - please check terms and conditions before booking.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Acknowledgement

By engaging in coaching with Brighter and Boundless Coaching, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the above Disclaimer.
